GOD’S WILL

God’s will has been likened to many things such as;

God rarely reveals His will for an individual’s life in its entirety.  However, the Bible is filled with stories from cover to cover of people dealing with various situations.  Some strove to live their life in God’s will while others shunned God’s will.  The results are recorded for our benefit.  As our relationship with God develops and matures, God’s will for the situations in our life becomes more evident.  Remember that God wants us to know His will and He makes his will known to us by his written word.

Proverbs 3:1-6

1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments;

2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about they neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:

4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct they paths.

Lord, please give me a greater desire to live my life according to your will and help me to mature as a Christian so that I may more readily know your will.
