COMPROMISE

What happens to our Christian faith when we allow small sins (compromise) to remain in our life?

Have you ever permitted yourself to do, watch, attend, partake of something that you felt God does not approve of? Of course, we all have. What happened? Did you try to avoid God? Were you reluctant to pray, to talk to God and spend time in his presence? Did you know that the top priority would have to be to confess your disobedience and face up to the fact that you had let God down---again?

We can never be strong in our prayer life, our desire, or our faith while we are ashamed to approach our Father. We can lie to others and even to ourselves but we can not lie to the Spirit of God. We can cover up iniquity while conversing with our brothers and sisters. We can work around those little compromises while we sit in church. We can deceive the Pastor into thinking well of us. But we just can not find God’s approval while we harbor sin in our life.

Keep the fellowship pure.
